How Classes are Graded
High-Purity Water Curriculum courses are graded using an A - F system (grading system was modified from pass/fail as of 2004). Every assignment must be successfully completed within the four month course schedule in order to pass the course. Passing an assignment does not necessarily require perfection, only evidence that the student has made a concerted attempt to achieve perfection. Students will have the opportunity to re-submit failed assignments, as long as all assignments are eventually completed within the four month course schedule. Assignment grades will be e-mailed to the students.
Class Participation Is Expected
Students will be expected to participate in the Class Chat Room Sessions and/or in the Class Technical Discussion Board. These are intended to better support the student in developing a better understanding of the material, answer their questions, and to provide the motivation to more thoroughly explore the given subject matter. It is suggested that students participate to their fullest capabilities, although it is also understood that a student may not be able to attend all Class Chat Sessions due to scheduling problems.
